Imagine
Inclusive Films

We make it easy for charities and not for profit organisations to tell stories that help their audience. We are experts at using live action filming and animation to tell impactful stories which are on brand, on budget and on time.

Accessibility

Stories are for everyone, and at Imagine IF we know the need for inclusive content is very important. We work closely with our clients to follow the U.K. Government's disability guidance, ensuring that our work can be enjoyed by everyone, so no one gets left behind.

We also believe that everyone should be able to afford video production. We work with everyone from large organisations to individuals and always try to find a way to produce something effective within the budget you have.

The Keys To Life

SCLD

An impactful film for the Scottish Commission for Learning Disability to promote their Keys to Life strategy.

We shot this over one day with a two-person crew, and using multi-tonal lighting we created a dramatic effect designed to engage the audience. We also subtitled the film to ensure that the message was accessible to all who viewed it.

Football Saved My Life

SFA

This video forms part of a series we are filmed for the Scottish Football Association titled 'Football Saved My Life'. It is an inspirational series featuring individuals, selected by the SFA, telling their stories about how their involvement in football helped them overcome challenges in their lives.

We shot this over a single day and worked with Rebecca Sellar to find the best ways of telling her inspirational story of how she overcame the anxiety and low self-esteem that she suffered from due to the bullying she endured.

Awards 2020

SCLD

Shot over lockdown, we created a series of 15 individual films which we also edited into one 1 hour long film to highlight the winners of the 2020 Learning Disability Awards. We filmed remotely, using the participant's mobile phones, with guidance on lighting/sound/framing from us.

We filmed a lot of videos this way during lockdown, using a mix of zoom recordings and interviews using participants phones. Although lockdowns are behind us this is still an approach we consider to keep production costs down.

Introduction to Cervical Screening Series

Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust

One of a series of films designed to help people with both cervixes and a learning disability understand their smear test. These were created during lockdown so we recorded the narration remotely using the narrators phone as the camera.

We later worked with Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to add a British Sign Language interpretur to the films. To do this we filmed an experienced BSL interpreter at our studio with a green screen and applied the footage to the original films.

The First Day

The Scottish Cot Death Trust

Working with the Scottish Cot Death Trust, we shot this harrowing and impactful film for Cot Death Awareness Week. As we had limited time with the location and children we scripted and created a story to best utilise the resources available, so we created something that worked better with visuals of an empty classroom than a full one.

We are delighted that this film has won multiple awards includingThe Charity Film of the Year Award 2021.

Conference Filming

IASSID

IASSIDD is a global congress which takes place in a different country every year. In the year in which Glasgow proudly welcomed over 1200 delegates and we were on hand to help capture the experience of the organisers and guests.

As well as this film of the event we also created a film to encourage delegates to attend the event featuring people from all over Scotland welcoming attendees.

Flu Animation

NHS

A short animation giving patients instructions on the 2020 flu vaccine process. Our client provided a voiceover, which we treated and then provided the corresponding graphics before editing the entire project together.

We regularly use simple animation like this to convey processes and procedures that may be difficult to film.

Our Grouse

The League Against Cruel Sports

Animation created for the League Against Cruel Sports Scotland as part of their campaign to raise awareness during discussions on land reform. Due to the nature of the film - a lot of this would be difficult to capture, so we highlighted the issues in the script with an appropriate, visually arresting design.

This is one of many animated films we have produced for The League Against Cruel Sports to campaign for an end to hunting and land reform.

Stop This Circus

The League Against Cruel Sports

We crafted a striking animation to vividly depict the widespread use of poisonous grit throughout Scotland.

This animation serves as a potent tool for raising awareness, delivering a powerful message in a simple yet impactful manner.

Listen Believe Support

Inspiring Scotland

We created a powerful short film shedding light on the significant challenges individuals with learning disabilities encounter while seeking care and support. This impactful production was shared with organisations to enlighten and educate them on enhancing their support for this community.

Collaborating closely with our client, we tailored the creative approach to ensure maximum impact and inclusivity, resonating deeply with audiences and stakeholders alike.

Listen Believe Support - Behind The Scenes

Inspiring Scotland

We crafted a documentary delving into the making of "Listen Believe Support," a film spotlighting the challenges faced by individuals with learning disabilities in accessing care and support.

Inclusivity was paramount. We collaborated closely with individuals with learning difficulties, ensuring their active involvement and fostering a sense of belonging throughout the filmmaking journey.

Start Something

The Prince's Trust

An interactive “Choose your own Adventure” story which we pitched to The Prince’s Trust to highlight Employability Skills.

We scripted, shot, created the assets, and edited four different films with two outcomes, which we delivered within a custom-built branded video player.
